First and foremost, these are great and solidly built chairs. Good quality, they look great, and are comfortable. I highly recommend them.
However, a few cautionary notes related to assembly. First, the fit can be very tight, which is a plus in making them solid, but can make assembly a bit difficult at times - I found a rubber mallet to be very useful. Second, each chair came with a bottle of glue to be used per the instructions. For all 6 chairs we received, however, the glue had hardened in the bottles - totally solid and therefore unusable. I had to use my own wood glue. Finally, on opening I found one piece (a cross-brace for the legs) had a glue joint that had come apart. I had to reglue this myself. So you will get some great furniture, but be prepared for some possible challenges in assembling it.
