  • How long does shipping take? Thank you!

    If you order before 2 PM CDT we usually ship that same day. Transit times depend on where you live. Seattle WA is around 7 business days, California around 5 business days, the midwest around 3 to 4 busines days, East coast between 2 and 3 business days.

  • Also, are there any options in terms of how dark the stain is on bench?

    There is no stain on our teak patio products. All these items have a handrubbed wax coat. More on this wax coat can be found here https://chicteak.com/pages/taking-care-of-teak

  • Hello! I just sent an email about a 60" bench and this is perfect!!!! Do I need to coat with teak oil upon receipt. Also, what is the maintenance like to keep the color/avoid fading?

    This bench is A-grade teak and fine to be used outdoors in the weather.

    Teak will naturally turn a silvery grey patina when it weathers and many people prefer this look. The only maintenance necessary is to clean it with soapy water as necessary. It is not recommended to use teak oil for furniture left outside exposed to the elements as it will wear off quickly, promote mildew growth and attract dirt.

    To help retain the brown tones of the wood, you can choose to seal the Teak with a Teak sealer such as SEMCO brand Honeytone Teak sealer but it's not necessary.  We sell SEMCO sealer on our website here: https://chicteak.com/collections/semco-teak-care-products

    Please note that the bench arrives with a hand rubbed wax coat applied to it.  The wax coat will need to wear off before it can be sealed.  It can take 3 to 5 weeks in the weather for the wax to wear off.

  • Is the bench shipped knocked down? How large is the shipping carton?

    Yes, the Elzas Double Bench ships broken down and the dimensions are 68 x 30 x 9 inches with an approximate weight of 82 lbs.
