  • Is it sealed?

    The furniture comes with a hand rubbed wax coat applied.  If left outside to weather, the wax will wear off in a few weeks.  At that time it can be sealed or left to turn a silver grey.  Please see this page for more info: https://chicteak.com/pages/taking-care-of-teak

  • What type of ceiling mounting hardware do I need to get?

    For mounting into wood beams or joists, you can use 2 eye lag bolts (bolt with an "O" at the end) that's rated for the weight of at least two people.  Screw those into ceiling.  Then use two 'S' hooks to hang from the eye bolts and hang the ropes from the other end of the S hook.

  • Can the rope lengths be shortened to adjust seat height? My installation situation has 1/2" eye bolts approximately 6'-6" above the floor. Your advice is welcomed.

    Thanks for your interest in our Teak Elzas Swing.  Although the ropes we provide are of fixed length, you can source alternative ropes in any length from Knot and Rope Supply.  They can make them to any size, and can add the eye-splice (loops) to the ends.  Please let us know if we can assist further.
