I got my furniture back in 2005 and 2010. They have been neglected, left outdoors all year, with algea growth. There are a few things that I wish I had done. #1 seal the end grain of the feet with marine epoxy. My stools feet are mush and now I have a more difficult repair on my hands. Luckily it isn't too late for some of the tables and chairs! #2 Store the furniture on the covered porch in the winter. It stays much cleaner and is dryer. Keeps the algea at bay. #3 Never let hubby power wash your furniture! If you must power wash use the lightest stream from a few feet away and be very very careful! I have two chairs that need repair, the bottom board that connects the back stringers is loose. Glue and clamp should fix that. On the stools a support brace will need repair. I'm planning to fix, clean, and sand the furniture to bring it back to like 'new', epoxy the feet, and store on the porch for winter. Should get another 10 15 years out of them!
