Taking from middle ages architecture, the louvered cabinets give new purpose to our ancestors design technique. Originally developed for shutters to allow air and light in, and slanted forward to repel heavy winds, we have adapted this style to a cabinet unlike any other.
The louvered cabinet doors open, allowing a generous amount of storage space, with four spacious drawers above to keep smaller items tucked away. The louvered cabinet doors also come equipped with brass, half-mortise locks, which are taken from the history books as well. Popular in the 1700s for locking up furniture and homes, this vintage style has been fitted into our louvered chest, giving it an authentic and antiqued feel.

I searched high and low for a teak cabinet that would work well in my particular situation. I came across the Recycled Teak Wood Louvre Cabinet on the Chic Teak website. I watched the manufacturing process video, and decided it was worth a shot dealing with Chic Teak. Much to my delight, the buying process was fantastic. After just a few hours, I received a call, letting me know cabinet showed up just a few days later (all the way to Key West) in perfect condition. And this thing is no joke, It is a very substantial build that looks great, and should hold up for a few generations. Very very pleased with the buying experience. I will look here first for my future teak needs.
