The West Indies Media Center is artfully handcrafted from 100% recycled teak wood and handwoven organic cane. All the materials are eco-friendly and sourced from sustainable resources.
The cane used to weave the door fronts are made from all organic cane that sourced from rattan trees. The teak wood used for the frame and legs of this media center come from 100% recycled A-grade teak wood that is repurposed by the village artisans on the Island of Java.
The organic handwoven cane comes from outer part of the rattan tree, which grows like a vine. Cane has a very natural look to it that is more pleasing to the eye than much of the "disposable" looking furniture styles out there.
This sturdy media center is multi-functional and can also be used as a buffet, sideboard, office cabinet and more. The honey tone teak frame contrasts beautifully with the natural lines and lighter tones of the woven cane. The rustic look makes this piece a versatile investment that will be the perfect addition to any room in your home. Please note that we do not pre-drill wiring holes in the back since not all clients will use this as a media center.
This media center can also be used outdoors in a covered area. Our popular recycled teak collection is always expanding. Search ‘recycled teak’ to see more amazing and unique pieces that will compliment this one.
