  • Is there hardware included to attach to the ceiling?

    No, the hardware for mounting on the ceiling is not included since applications can vary.

  • Will the 11ft rope work with a 9ft ceiling?

    The ropes give approximately 5.5 feet from the armrest to the ceiling.  Then the seat is about 8 inches below the armrest.  This means for a 9 foot ceiling, the swing will be hanging around 2.5 to 3 feet off the ground.

    Should you decide to hang it at a different height, you can add knots in the rope to shorten is slightly or you can purchase longer chains or ropes.  A number of online retailers sell swing ropes and chains to the exact length tou need them.

  • What is the weight capacity of this swing?

    This swing is solid A-grade teak wood and very sturdy.  It can hold at least 800 lbs.

  • What is the weight of this swing

    This swing weighs approximately 65 lbs.

  • Can you put an outdoor sealer on the swing?

    Thanks for your interest! Yes, you can apply a sealer to the wood. We sell SEMCO brand Teak sealer, but you can use any other brand that's OK for Teak as well.

    Please note as Semco recommends:

    "The furniture should be allowed to weather for a couple of weeks or washed with a strong detergent prior to sealing. It is okay for the wood to get wet and be outdoors during this period. This process will remove the waxy feeling of new furniture which occurs when the natural oils have been polished or burnished by the sanding and milling process during manufacture. Failure to remove this mill glaze will result in a blotchy appearance and early failure of the sealer protection."
